Some great additions, will probably take a little time to figure out how to swim in the wider pond and what to do with new audience!

Good luck this week. I've used Landen.co before for quick landing pages and it's been great to work with

    2. 2

      Glad it was helpful, Jamil.

    THIS YEAR

30K MRR. What the hell. Might as well go big or go home. To achieve that revenue, I must provide value for 1000 subscribers.

    $90 of $30K MRR

    PROJECT

    Name. Diversity Decoded
Tagline: Refactor your tech team for diversity.
Elevator Pitch: A daily newsletter of short, actionable insights for tech leadership to build and retain diverse talent.

    1. 1

You can reach $30k if you use aspirational pricing. Set a price, test, id the true value for that price then adjust the value prop.

      $200 > 150 subs
      $100 > 300 subs
      $50 > 600 subs

What can you attach to the newsletter? Remote team workshops? Employee engagement surveys? State of diversity reports? Employee workbook to communicate or solve people problems?

    2. 1

      Enjoy your holidays!

    3. 1

      Janice, enjoy THAT VACA!!!

  3. 3

How did you fare last week?
Did not do much since the release last week Monday.

Unless you count yesterday and this morning as I then managed to add initial support for VMware Player 16.0 (not available for customers yet)

Which means that Vimalin will soon support 3 products from VMware: Workstation, Player and Fusion.

Oh also ran some tests with Vimalin on the freshly released VMware Workstation 16 and VMware Fusion 12.

What's on deck for this week?
Consulting, more infrastructure changes at the datacenter.

Probably no time for Vimalin for the rest of the week, but there's always a chance.

    Goal for the month?
Incremental progress... make sure things keep moving forward

  4. 3

    [Last Week]
I did some research into different chat solutions and various ways to create a mobile app. I dev on my PC mainly these days so was looking into React native, but I have been so far unable to create a smooth enough pipeline to do what I want to do. So it looks like I'm going to be using Unity again, which I'm very familiar with, and just working on Mac to work through that AWFUL build process. Otherwise I can spend another week on React native and try to work through debugging.

I'm not 100% convinced yet, only 90%. I really enjoy working with React so am not looking forward to switching gears again.

I also had a few days' diversion to help someone else scope out a pretty awesome idea.

    [This Week]
Flesh out basic chat on the web app
Begin working on mobile app chat
I began homeschooling again this week, which underscored the NEEED for all this stuff I've been working on.

    [Project]
    Lift Academy
Safe online community for kids with classes/events/friend matching

    [Year End Goal]
$10k MRR. Not on target, will need to rescope the path to $10k

    1. 2

      Mid-week update...
I had a rocky start to it as I changed my dev pipeline but I started calling the mobile app into being. I already have a decent group chat and other social features roughed in and running on iOS so it's a huge bump from where I was this weekend.

In my mind this puts me back on track for MRR, though I'm technically still probably a few weeks away from being live on any App Store
