    [Last Week]
For very far into into the custom onboarding, porting over lots of code from my React version.

Also made a nice tight one-pager to describe the business as I begin to see a seed round angel(s)

    [This Week]
    Friend matching, custom user profiles

    [Project]
    Lift Academy
Safe online community for kids with classes/events/friend matching

    [Year End Goal]
$10k MRR. Still the potential to hit my target

Nice, keep it steady and I'm sure you'll reach that goal. With an intuitive feature like friend matching, that's bound to bring a nice stream of families that want to keep their children engaged with others. Also appealing to teens who may be lacking in the friend department.

Thanks for helping @janice. Hope she still is "holidaying".

How did you fare last week?
Whew.. what an intense week it was (is?)
I managed to get an update for Vimalin released with VMware Player 16.0 support. So now the product supports all VMware desktop products. VMware Fusion, VMware Workstation and VMware Player.
    So far so good.

During the release however I found out that Microsoft blocks my downloads in Microsoft Edge. Then when trying to start it complains in Defender as well.
The warning message is something along the lines of "this file is not commonly downloaded" uhhh... oh dear, how does your installer get commonly downloaded when it is new and how does it become common if it gets blocked.
You can report this to Microsoft (which I did) and they promised to look into this within 2 working days.
That was about a week ago..
Also checked the Vimalin installer against VirusTotal and it is fine there.
(Well OK, there's one antivirus product I never heard about that complains, they also do not react on a false positive report)

Besides all this I also started working on something new. It probably will take me less than a week to develop. Not sure if I will give it away or "free with a Vimalin license" or ..
The idea is that the freebie will help prospects find Vimalin.

Oh and wrote a blog post about a new experimental feature in VMware Fusion about macOS virtual machines with Metal Rendering support.

What's on deck for this week?
A new customer managed to find me for consulting, so am at least busy with that today.

Then work on the new freebie.

    Goal for the month?
Incremental progress... make sure things keep moving forward.
Adding a new goal: Get the Vimalin installer unblocked by Microsoft.

Yeah she is! She sent me a note on LinkedIn. I hear you on the intensity. Last week ended up pretty wild. This week has already been so.

If it takes less than a week to develop that sounds like a win to me! Interesting article about Metal support. I am not sure what I'd use it for, but I'd love to get a Hackintosh running again so I don't need to fire up my old MacBookPro to use xCode. It's getting SLOW and every time I go to use xCode I need to update my MacOS and Xcode and they barely fit on the HD anymore hehe.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get the Vimalin installer unblocked by Microsoft.
