Hi everyone! I was looking for someplace to post this promotion, and I understand this might not be the place. I started a mental health company, AND I struggle daily with anxiety and other negative emotions.
We have a new Therapy Concierge service that helps people (in the US) find a new therapist and I want to offer a promotional rate for IH members. Our concierges (who are also therapists) do phone consultations with patients and help them find the best available therapist who meets their needs (insurance, specialty, gender, location, etc..). We charge $65 for the service and the concierge sticks with the patient until they find a good match. The promo rate is $50.

I am also open to your questions and feedback!
If you are looking for any type of therapy help then I will suggest you to must visit https://www.proformancetherapyandwellness.com/. They are providing therapy and other services to their clients.
This problem resonates with me; I struggled to find a therapist who was a good fit. However, services like BetterHelp, SonderMind, and others, match and connect with therapists in their to their network as a part of the service.
What is the advantage to your service over theirs?
Sorry, one more thought - I definitely wish there was more content on finding a good therapist; everything I read online when I was looking felt generic and not very helpful ("you're looking for a good vibe/fit"). Given how many different kinds of therapy approaches there are, I wish I had learned more concrete things to look for. The second therapist I was matched with was not somebody I would have reached out to on my own (didn't match my profile), but through a combination of the matching algorithm and luck, ended up being a great fit.
That's a great point. I think some start ups have tried coming up with better matching criteria, but nothing has really hit gold. There was one in Boston that folded... it's a hard market! Also, I think a lot of our selection processes are random and physiological. I know I have picked therapists that look "nice" or friendlier than the person who looks cold and uninviting in their profile photo. This has also been challenging because it's hard to predict which therapists the patients will pick. Even if you give them 3 "matches" they might still not feel confident enough to book. It's so subjective!
As to your first question. Betterhelp and Sondermind only connect you with their therapists. Our service is 100 impartial and unaffiliated with any network, providers, system, company, etc... We tried to make this clear in the website language but I think it's getting lost. Do you think that's a strong differentiator?
The concierge approach seems like a really good idea. People have a lot of uncertainty when looking for a therapist (or really, any healthcare specialist). It's a big decision with limited information, and the patient is not an expert on how to compare providers.
Talking to a knowledgeable concierge who can make an expert recommendation takes a lot of stress off the patient and is likely to result in a better theraputic match.
From your website it looks like you are targeting employers now with the concierge product? And comparing it to EAP?
I worked with employers and consulted with them on wellness programs and other benefits for several years - would be happy to chat if there's any way I can assist. You can contact me here: https://app.contactlink.com/to/jesse.hercules
Thank you so much! Contacting you now.
Oh, also, I am happy to help people find a therapist myself. I won't have a therapist's experience, but I know a lot about it and where to look and I am happy to do it for free.
