Upvote if you've sat on a refund email longer than you'd admit.
I’d separate the outcome from the learning: issue the refund promptly to protect trust, then ask one optional diagnostic question (unclear value, setup friction, missing feature, or timing). Instrument checkout → welcome → first-success, and add a short guided checklist before offering a call. If the drop-off is before first value, improving activation will teach you more than trying to persuade a refund request.
