"Life is too short to work on things you hate" This is my motto right now. Everything I'm doing is trying to get me to a point where I can do what I enjoy most of the time. There will always be those things we don't love to do, but I'm hoping to minimize them, instead of them taking up most of my day. 😪
Sorry if I missed this but is your side project profitable? Because if you're spending money on outsourcing etc. and have no income then isn't that counter-intuitive; going more into the red? I always thought it was best to minimize as many costs as possible - essentially don't spend any money that isn't absolutely essential until you're making a profit.
Depends on your situation.
If you have money and can make 4 bets a year with money vs 1 without. It might be worth spending money. Otherwise it might take 4 years to find a good side project.

Great points! I think this often gets overlooked when we think about working on our passion, just because we are working on our passion doesn't mean there aren't tasks to do that we hate. If we can minimize those then that's the perfect solution.
So true. Anything we work on will involve some tasks that we don't like. I'm working on building a start-up now and my solution has to be work with people who like and have the strengths to work on the things I don't like to minimise how much time I spend on them!
