Thinking of selling my side project

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a simple static hosting app (essentially Carrd meets GitHub Gists) for the last few months. The organic traction has actually been pretty amazing, having crossed the 1,200 signup mark just from sharing it on a few forums.

However, despite the user base, it’s currently sitting at $0 revenue.

The base infrastructure for provisioning custom domains, SSL, and billing is 100% done and live. The future roadmap includes building an API to enable agency/b2b use cases as well.

I've got payments hooked up through Polars, but I’m realizing I honestly don't have the marketing energy or time to focus on driving those free-to-paid conversions. I'm currently heads down on finishing my masters and finding a job.

Has anyone here sold a project at this exact stage?

Since there's no active MRR/ARR to base a standard SaaS multiple on just yet, I'm trying to figure out how to value a functional codebase, a turn-key billing structure, and a list of 1,200+ early adopters.

If anyone has advice on how to price something like this, or recommendations on the best platforms to list it (Microns, Acquire, SideProjectors?), I’d love to hear your experiences!

Hey Chris, 1,200 signups on a static-hosting app with custom domains + SSL already wired up is a solid base - totally understand wanting to hand it off while you finish your masters. I'm launching clAIssified, an escrow-protected marketplace for finished tools, and pre-revenue projects with real infra are exactly what buyers want. Free listing, 0% fee, escrow handles money + verified handover. Want me to list it for you?
