Thinking to change from MailGun to SendGrid

SendGrid seems much cheaper than Mailgun. But how is the service? If no difference, it should be a no brainer for me to move to SendGrid.

I've used SendGrid at my day job for some time. The only problem I recall running into is that emails were being caught by spam filters more often when you're on one of their lower plans without a dedicated IP.

Your mileage may vary depending on how lucky you get sharing an IP with someone else and of course, they may have resolved these types of problems since. Just something to be aware of.

I've never used MailGun but it looks like they have dedicated IP on their lower plans. Of course, if you're already going for the $89.95/mo plan then it probably doesn't matter much either way.

No, Mailgun doesn't offer dedicated IP for lower plans. It cost at least $70 something to get dedicated IP. Reputation cannot control if sharing IP with someone else. Hmm, maybe I will stick with current plan and wish me luck 😅

Are you sending in big volumes? SendGrid was working well for me. I liked them for ease of use, reporting and templating features. However currently using SES since their free quota is much more generous. SendGrid is my go-to for smaller setups, i.e. generate SMTP credentials for website notifications.

Wow, never knew SES offers 62,000 free emails per month. That's so generous, no wonder it's Amazon!

Have you made a switch yet, and how's the experience so far? Just wondering.

I run Kingmailer (focused only on transactional emails), so a bit curious.
