‘Thinkwashing’ keeps people from taking action in times of crisis

Many of them fall under the banner of what I’d call thinkwashing, a combination of willful ignorance of existing knowledge, policy perfectionism, and an all-or-nothing position on the role of technology in society.
The author of that article is evidently a 'true believer' who is prone to hyperbole and is easily seduced by magical thinking, which should lead anyone possessing even a modicum of critical thinking skills to discount pretty much all of its conclusions and prescriptions.
