"This is terrible. I dont like anything" - What do you even do with this?

Well now you can do something about it!

I am sure you have a shiny feedback tag hanging by the side of your website right now for your users to share feedback.

But do you also struggle and get feedback like i used to get??:
"Great product"
"Vibe coded AI slop"
"Atleast get a better homepage"

Ok great, but what do i do with all these opinions? I can only guess and make changes and hope something makes a difference.

Do you also face this challenge often? Introducing Feedbak to help you solve this!

Why? - I believe the old school way of collecting feedback on your website is broken. The problems I see with it:

1. Customers ignore the hanging feedback tag on the side of page

2. The feedback is static one-sided single question feedback which lacks depth

3. Too much time is spent on categorizing this half baked feedback

How Feedbak solves this:

1. A chat interface (Ai powered) to ask relevant follow up questions when a customer leaves feedback to gather all the important information you need

2. Multiple placement options so that you ask for feedback at the most important moment

3. Auto-categorization of feedback into Bugs and Feature requests for you to focus on making the best customer experience

If this feels like a pain point for you too, give it a try or reach out to me if you have any more ideas for us to improve :)

Hey! Quick question about the product: Can triggers be event based, for example failed payment, second visit, rage clicks, or exit intent, rather than a static widget?

    1. 1

Hey, good point. thanks for reaching out. Not yet. But i was thinking of adding that layer of intelligence. Would that help your use case?

      1. 1

It would 100% help. If it is a bug that a user wants to report then I could easier find out why this bug happened and how to fix it.

Btw, I got an offer for you that will benefit both of us. I am developing a social network for entrepreneurs and will be launching a closed beta in 19 days, and if you would register in the waitlist, and just tell people the story of your project in a post format, we could boost it so more people will know about Feedbak

We get an entrepreneur on board, you get new users :)

Sure, i will be happy to try it out. Please share.

Hey, i took your advice and now have Advanced triggers to show the feedback modal based on exit intent, time spent with inactivity, after x sessions, frequency capping and custom event based triggers (like login). Give it a try!

                Hey, just checked it

Looks pretty nice, this is a very useful feature, the only problem is this text "Exit intent (desktop)

                Return visit

                Min visit #:

                Stuck on page (inactivity)

                Minutes:"

Can't be seen as the color of it is white, same as the background

But besides that, looks pretty cool!

Ah. yes, it is a dark mode compatibility issue. I will resolve this soon. But hoping to see some feedback on your site soon! :)

                    Oh, got it

Hoping to see the feedback too when we launch!

"Totally get this , feedback tags often end up being ignored or filled with one-liners that aren’t actionable. Love the idea of an AI-powered chat that digs deeper. I faced similar challenges when experimenting with custom event handling while building MCP tools for my site

Hey, thank you so much for the comment. This is great feedback and validation :)
Would be really happy if you would want to give it a try for your website. Happy to help setup or answer any questions.

Nice project. I tested several feedback services and didn't find one with customizable interface (except colors and text). Would be nice to have an API or installable and customisable React components to fully integrate into an existing website.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. This is great input. I will work on an API for this as well. That seems very interesting and will get back to you in a day or two.

Not bad! There is one inherent problem with inline feedback (which I've tested first-hand in several project scenarios) that might help you to dig into.

People don't naturally break their user flows. When they're engaging, and it's working, they're working, and they don't "see" feedback mechanisms. They only "see" them when their flow is broken for some other reason. Usually a problem they can't solve, and usually they blame the product.

So inline feedback is largely invisible until a user wants to complain. This leads to it being disproportionately negative.

In one project, we experimented with tying it into "quick help", knowing that if a user's flow breaks, "help" is a better positive first step. We provided tiny "help" blurbs the user could select, mostly so we could solve easy things easy and TRACK what issues were coming up. We used small but very specific blurbs so that we knew specifically where we needed to improve the product.

The we has a secondary menu that was "get more in-depth help" and also had "Send feedback about this". Universally, the feedback we got was more helpful because we'd first tried to help, and now the user wasn't so much in "complain mode", but legitimately giving us an opinion on what they would prefer to see.

You might be able to build on that success path with an AI chat (which we did not have available at the time). But be careful not to change the user's "flow" from getting their work done to chatting about the product. It'll be good feedback, but the user can trick themselves into thinking that the product doesn't work well yet (because it needs so much feedback) and they will likely leave that session without having completed the work they went there to do, diminishing their sense of value. It's a tightrope to walk! Good luck!

Hey Jeff, this is gold. Thank you so much for sharing. Such great input and insights from your experience. I will keep this in mind and very important not to break the user journey but help them when required. :)

Interesting scenarios and also your solution is simple but effective. I like it :D

Hey Mostafa - thank you for the kind words. Do you also have a website or product? Curious how you currently gather feedback and if there are any challenges?
