This Monday I will send my newsletter to 100 subscribers
Well....
That's the plan.
I write a weekly newsletter for newsletter authors and currently I am up to 85 subscribers. Coming Monday I will send out issue #24 and I think it should be sent to 100 subscribers at least!

So who are the 15 new subscribers who should get this issue? Tag them in the comments, or subscribe yourself of course ;-)

Have a look at the folks who have grown really fast, @harrydry comes to mind.
Just follow what they have done.
One thing they don't do is ask for subs before providing a ton of value.

So you’re actually implying, don’t do this before you reply and post a lot here? Or what would “a ton of value” look like to you?
If you made a post about how you got 85 subs with a link at the end you would have done really well and got your 15 subs most likely :)
Most IHs are looking for actionable advice on what or how to start a new project.
If you can help them you will be rewarded usually.

growth for growth's sake isn't the best strategy. i'd rather have one super-passionate subscriber than 15 folks who just sign up randomly. right?
Same here! I really hope people don’t sign up randomly, that’s why I added the links to the archive. Otherwise I would have made a competition, a sure way to inflate your subs but doesn’t provide value. Right?
cool. it felt like it was just about reaching a goal by monday... and that felt a bit artificial.
