This one comment completely changed my product.

I posted Greve on Reddit expecting the usual feedback.

Things like:

  • "Looks good."

  • "Nice UI."

  • "Good luck."

Instead, someone wrote a long comment explaining why my product wasn't solving the real problem.

They said:

  • My positioning wasn't clear.

  • The demo felt generic.

  • The product looked like "more AI" instead of a real sales tool.

  • The friction was too high.

  • People don't buy personalization. They buy better outcomes.

At first, it was hard to read.

Then I realized they were right.

Over the next few days I changed almost everything:

  • rewrote the homepage

  • simplified the messaging

  • changed how personalized pages are generated

  • improved the demo

  • focused on showing business context instead of AI magic

Ironically, that single Reddit comment was more valuable than weeks of coding.

I think a lot of founders build in isolation.

We protect our ideas because we're afraid someone will criticize them.

But that's exactly where the biggest improvements come from.

If you're building something, post it before you think it's ready.

The internet will find problems you never would.

For me, that's exactly how Greve.io is evolving.

Not because I had the perfect roadmap.

Because strangers kept pointing out what I couldn't see myself.

I'm seeing "Internal Server Error" when I try to access your link?

Love seeing how feedback shaped your product. I’m building Finsight AI, and I’ve found that real user signals often change my roadmap more than my initial assumptions. What’s been the most surprising signal so far?

That’s a powerful shift — realizing users care more about outcomes like replies and meetings than the underlying AI. I’ve had similar surprises building Finsight AI: SMBs often care less about the tech and more about whether it helps them forecast cashflow clearly. Thanks for sharing how feedback reshaped Greve!

Honestly, the biggest surprise was that people cared far more about positioning than the AI itself. I thought the product was about personalized landing pages. The feedback made me realize people actually care about getting more replies and booked meetings. That completely changed how I'm building and talking about Greve.

That’s interesting and very valuable. It’s something I would like to do with an app I am developing.

I have actually been hoping to find a group of friends who are nerds (I mean that in the most positive way possible) and who can actually implement my app and help me make it more useful
