Those of you who spend a lot of time reading / writing emails: what are your favorite productivity tips, hacks, and tools?

I'm noodling with an idea for a product in this space, particularly concerned with writing shorter email (e.g. http://five.sentenc.es/). That being said, I'm curious learning generally about what heavy email users do or want to do to move faster.
