Thoughts on AppSumo for digital downloads?

I recently had ChromeExtensionKit go live on AppSumo Marketplace and have had some decent early sales. It seems most of the stories you hear about wild success on AppSumo tend to be around lifetime deals for SaaS products.

So out of curiosity, have any of you had success selling a digital download on AppSumo? And if so, how long did it take to reach a critical mass and did it require you to do a ton of marketing for the deal?
