Thoughts on voice dating?

Hey so I realised I'm not the first in this space, but with the advent of voice technologies, I thought that the dating space would be a good area to apply voice/audio tech.

My initial MVP (https://hollerdate.com/) is pretty simple. Simply upload a 15 seconds audio clip and a profile photo. Your photo is revealed only when someone express interest in your voice clip using "reveal" points.

In the near future, I plan to add advanced filters that allows people to filter profiles by tonality, speech frequency and stuff.

I appreciate any feedback or thoughts of pitfalls that I should be aware off in the dating space. Also appreciate advice on how a new platform with very limited ad spend budget can market this platform in such a crowded and competitive space.

The filtering possibilities are quite novel. If there was a particular turn of phrase that annoys you, you could filter those dates out.

This seems like a novel idea, I like it and would actually enjoy using it.
A big challenge for apps like these is that you need critical mass to make it work, it's a chicken and egg problem. You should focus on a city and grow locally, expanding only when you've reached product-market fit there. I would be promoting and getting feedback for this app on clubhouse, the user base is both open to new technologies and interested in voice-first interaction. Choose a city, SF is an easy pick but there might be better choices out there, do some research.
