Thoughts on Writing and Shipping

Definitely not an uncommon thought process going into blogging. Definitely good to just get the shit out of your head and into the world. If nothing else, nearly everything can be related to by somebody else, so there's not much you could write about that would impact 0% of the population.

For me, I'm selfish, I blog for myself and nobody else. I wanted to be a better writer, so I wrote more. I document little problems I have so future me has a reference. My comparison posts are because I couldn't find what I was looking for elsewhere, so I did it myself.

Similar to the cliche "I succeed because I fail" type quotes out there, by just doing it for me, I've seen a decent amount of success. Sure, if I was writing 10k word articles that honed in specific keywords, I'd probably do a ton better, but that has never been my goal.

Remember, the more you publish, the more likely you are to actually help somebody.
