Thursday Edition: #Daily-Stand-Up

Why?

That extra nudge of accountability to achieve even a small step on your IH journey each day.

To join in:

01 Share your epic (a big chunk of work with a meaty objective) you'd like to complete by the end of March.

02 Share what you accomplished yesterday.

03 Share what you commit to accomplishing today.

04 Comment on at least one fellow hacker's progress and give them an IH Point for their check in.

Optional:

05 Share your Work In Progress to underscore your accomplishments.

Then tune in the tomorrow to share how you did on your own tasks!

    IRT PullManager.com

    EPIC

By End of March: No gated beta. I have a list now and think I have a short term beta release soon (0-2 weeks away)...but I'd like to be at a stage to just let visitors "sign up" by the end of the month.

By End of 2019: Have this product still going and growing. Some may see that as too vague, but as someone with a few failed SaaS, this would be quite the improvement.

    YESTERDAY

Concluded that Pull Manager was MVP feature complete. Got started on integrating Stripe.

    TODAY

Try and finish out some more Stripe integrations and think about getting Pull Manager deployed to Heroku.

    1. 3

Haha thank you! I need to figure out my next big epic now so I might not have any updates for stand-up. I'll still be lurking and commenting of course!

      1. 2

You crushed it. Can't wait to see what you tackle next!

  3. 3

    EPIC

    1. 2019
      • $50K annual revenue
    2. March
      • Get a remote job.
      • Get 20 people to say this is not a real problem & reject my value proposition.
      • Get 10 customers to confirm a real problem.
      • Schedule customer interviews/calls.

    YESTERDAY

    1. Keyword research to identify problems.
    2. Schedule/do job interviews.

    TODAY

    1. Daily customer/sales/keyword research. Identify problems & find niches.
    2. Do job interviews.

    WIP Mindful

    side note
Done w/ the job interviews for the week. Tonight and tomorrow searching for real conversations on customers' pain points. Get past what marketing/sales/SEO says is a problem. Often those channels talk in-depth about solutions while barely scratching the surface about the real pain. Then back to my scheduled programming aka job hunting on Monday.

    1. 2

Congrats on finishing up a round of job interviews! Anything seem particularly tasty?

      1. 1

Thanks. Yeah, I had 4 last week. Got my 1st post interview rejection and got disqualified for another for being US-based. This part is definitely a numbers game. I got to stock the odds in my favor if I ever going to secure a remote job. I'm trying not to become tether to a location/office... want to be close to mom and help.

01 By the end of March:

    • Register a company
    • Start a personal brand that will be used to cross-sell other products, (website + facebook page)
    • Launch landing page for DevsCollective - software development leads exchange, send 150 invites on LinkedIn.
    • Launch landing page for DesignToWordpress and evaluate Google Ads conversion
    • I'm thinking about other ideas I have... I need to establish some time for indiehacking every day.

    02 Yesterday:
Worked on getting GDPR compliant, decided to go with another domain that I was able to register with com/eu/pl. I uploaded new headshot photos to be more likable :) Created a facebook page for a personal brand and figuring out how to create and upload content frequently.

    03 Today:
    Still GDPR

As for help, I'm very excited about DevsCollective idea but I don't know to start acquiring users or what to include in MVP. I wrote a post yesterday: https://www.indiehackers.com/KrisP/post/231dc8da3a
I would appreciate if someone is able to give me some insight and/or like the post so its visible. Recently it's really hard to get any reach in IH if you don't have many followers :D

Ping me over the weekend if still seeking feedback!

      1. 1

Thanks! Haha, this thread (I think) already made my post appear on the main page and I got some replies!! You guys are the best, it's like a community within community :>

And of course, if you have time, any feedback would be appreciated.
