Thursday - the magic day, without explanation...
Guys, did you notice that particular weekday performs much more better than other days for new clients acquisition? For a few several months I'm trying outreach potential customers by email, offering our services. I'm tracking several things: open rate, clicks and replies rate + picking out positive / negative replies and of course conversion rate. I've noticed that somehow people are more active 8-11am PDT time - that's ok, no surprise. But at the same time I've noticed that some weekdays perform better, and the one day is very different and leading - Thursday! At first I thought it's probably just a random thing, or probably this day performs just a bit better, but the more Thursdays come up, the more clear tendency I see.
I have these numbers after 17 weeks (17 amazing Thursdays):
Open and click rate is just slightly bigger - 69% more than average of the rest of weekdays - 62%.
Response rate is 42% comparing to an average 31%
Positive responses against negative is 83%!!! Comparing to 62% average
And finally conversion rate is 34% from all outreached, and is also much more bigger than my average - 22%
How would you explain these Thursdays? Do you have a special weekday while growing your product?
Maybe as the week goes by, people get tired and are more easily distracted by non-core work things, like looking at other potential products... but by Friday they are too far gone, thinking about the weekend.
This is all worthless speculation though.
