Will you roast it or toast it (or ghost it)?

What's unclear? How does it flow? Is the offer compelling? Is the name total poop-sticks? Anything else? Appreciate all feedback, happy to reciprocate if I see you made a post recently.
Hey Ameer!
I gave you a bit of a roast / toast with this 6 minute loom video about your landing page.

Overall, I like the design a lot, good foundation.
My main criticism is it wasn't plainly obvious to me what you are selling on your landing page. I go into more detail in the video, and I also show a competitor whose landing page says what they do clearer.
Hope you get some value from this!
Hi Dakota,
Wow! Really appreciate you taking the time to make a whole video.
The feedback regarding the hero section not clarifying what the product is, is very valid. I'll work on making that clearer in the hero section and throughout the page (the comparative example of datafiniti was very helpful). Split testing multiple headlines amongst my friends is a good tip to workshop it.
Screenshots being oddly size / cut off in the hero section is a good shout out. I'll give that a go once I have newer screenshots. GIFs is a good idea.
Add a FAQ about "How Does It Work?" is a very good idea, I think there's a running theme of it being vague at the moment.
Testimonials are in the works! I think they'll be really important as well I just don't have them yet as I'm still somewhat early in the building process.

User Question: Why should I trust the data on SOSE?
You only talk about data collection and analysis. If I build a micro SAAS based on your data, I want to know that the data is credible.
P.S: I look forward to playing around with the data :-)
Good Luck!
Thanks for the feedback Ameer, I think trust makes a lot of sense. Both that the data is legitimate and that it's useful.
For legitimacy I think this can be solved with transparency. Once you click into each of the products there will be a breakdown of all the composite datapoints that go into the scoring (for example a list of relevant tweets or a link to the API page). Once I have that view built the screenshots will be updated and I think it will be more clear.
For that it's useful I think case studies and testimonials will help a lot, I think you've pointed out the biggest hesitation at the moment from people I talk to.
Title is too wordy - "Find your next micro SaaS product to build today" is a mouthful.
Screenshot does not fit on my screen. It also looks a single screen cut up different ways.
Other than that - looks great. Good luck!
Appreciate the feedback, will definitely look to shortening the H1. Changing the screenshot display (currently it cuts off the right hand side if it overflows, to preserve the height) makes a lot of sense, I might have to rethink the layout of items. The screenshots contents are just the same screen cut in different ways as you mentioned π€£ should have an update soon for the other views of the app, it's a bit filler at the moment.
I'm not sure having all information on one screen is a problem. I'd call it "convenient" and put it up front. Embrace it!
Nothing really jumps out at me - took me a minute or so to look through the page to understand what it was π€·π»ββοΈ
Thanks Dylan, will have a think about how to make something hook the reader better. I'm also hoping that better screenshots will make things easier terms of comprehension of what it concretely is. And making things more punchy would help so I'll give that a try as well.
I like the name but reminds me of a dating app for some reason.
So a SaaS to help make a SaaS? Feels a little bit like living in the matrix π Looks decent but I question the market size of people wanting to run a "micro-SaaS" in light of developer job opportunities, etc. I know there are people interested in micro-software opportunities - because I've met them - but the problem with micro-SaaS is that you have to provide ongoing customer support on a small revenue base (which is hard). If I can sell an app which I don't have to do major support for and generate decent revenue - and repeat over & over for large revenue stream - that's a definite win.
So sell me more on the opportunity here perhaps? Actual case studies would be great "50K generated from Shopify apps, etc" Speaking figuratively, regarding your website copy.
That was definitely something I was taking for granted! Selling people on the benefit of building the kind of opportunities we'll uncover makes a lot of sense e.g. the average shopify app does X revenue and the average builder spends Y amount of time supporting it would be great data supporting benefits that should be highlighted. And the expanded version of the case study would be great for content marketing π
Thank you!
You're welcome! Yes, if it could be made to be low-risk, that would be great. I'm sure a lot of dev's would love to do little side projects that if they put in an extra 20hrs, and get paid the same or better than their job but getting to be their own bosses. Problem is, it's hard/impossible to find such opportunities. Predictability is I think the key - it's easy to gamble for a small chance to get rich, but what if you could have all the upsides of a business and all the upsides of a job rolled into 1?
