Time management w/ full-time

For those that are indie hacking while maintaining a full time job, how do you manage your time? I am about to start a job soon and wondering what barriers to set to avoid burn-out.

    1. I favor remote positions to cut out any wasted time on a commute.
    2. As a salaried employee (senior software engineer), I am extremely mindful of how much time I'm working. In the past I've worked 50+ hour work weeks, even up to 60-70 during "crunch times" at startups. As a easy rule of thumb, I always end my day at 6pm and never let the work day transfer into the evenings (when I am usually hacking on the side hustle). Even if you don't have anything on the side, having a clearly defined stop time, and sticking to it can still do wonders for you to maintain a work/life balance.

I'm also starting full time job and would like to keep doing my side projects. Also, I have a 10-mo old.
I have to accept that the hours I'll be able to work in side projects are going to go down, and make those count.

Don't think it's going to be easy. Understand what things are important for you. Have time to review with yourself. Have time schedule with another person preferably close that you would listen to that could give you an indication you are crossing an unhealthy line for you personally.
