Hi folks, I’ve been working on a collaboration software to help software teams to ditch functional specs/requirements for good and instead manage products visually, where you can manage designs as the parent to connect with engineering tasks.
Anyone interested taking a look at it, when we launch this Fri? We’re shipping to friends who generously gave their time to give feedback & insights. Attached image is one of our interface that pulls design and dev together in one place. You could see everything from UIs to dev issues and if you need to describe things, you can do that as well.
URL is pixelic.io , let me know if you’re interested!
if one can "describe" the issues/problems/pain points/etc.. within the visual diagram, sure, could work.
the functional spec/requirements process is one that tries to force the appropriate users to go through the issues of how to get from point A to point B. There's nothing that says you couldn't do part of the process with visual tools. In fact, I'd argue with the advent of mockups/wireframes/workflow tools/etc, that the whole requirements/functional spec process is no longer just bulletpoints/gant charts/kanban/etc..
