Time to evolve from builder to entrepreneur...
After 36 years on this planet, I'm finally willing to admit that I'm a builder, not an entrepreneur.
Worse than that, I wasn't even acting like an entrepreneur; I was a being a wantrepreneur...
I've been building things on the internet since I was 16 years old. On March 3rd, 2003 (03/03/03), my friend and I launched our video game review website, Game-Palace.net. As you can see from that stellar domain name, I've always been more of an Engineer than a Marketer.
Almost 20 years later, that project is still my most successful (personal) business venture to date, even though I've shipped countless websites since then.
It's very clear that I keep allowing my imagination and desire to be an entrepreneur to sidetrack me into constantly pursuing random new ideas instead of focusing on finding product market fit for the ones I'm truly interested in.
It's time for me to grab the reins and figure out how to correct course.
There's no doubt in my mind that I'll never be able to commit to just one single project fully; there are just too many exciting ideas and technologies out there. But after taking Daniel Vassallo's "Portfolio of Small Bets" course this Spring, I finally feel like I don't have to.
Instead, I'm going to pull a Marie Kondo, organize my ideas, and proceed with a minimalist approach.
A few weeks ago I did an audit of all the domain names that I own and there were over 260, across 4 registrars. This past year, I have been doing a better job of letting the less interesting ones expire, but I probably register 3 or 4 more for each one I let go.
This seems like a great place to start.
If my dream is to truly create financial freedom, I need to get serious and start focusing.

I'm slowly going through all my domains and documenting my initial idea when I bought it.

In some instances, I've even added options to reach out to me if you'd like to hire me to build an initial version for you or if the idea still really interests me, maybe we could even collaborate on the project together.

It's crazy really, youtube has comments, and every other social media platform does aswell. But browsing the web, we have no other curation, or comments to go from others experiences. This, for scam sites alone, would be worth it's weight. And could allow upvotes of comments to minimize sock puppets.
Exactly... I think it also plays really well into a "decentralized web" narrative. It would essentially allow people to add metadata on top of the existing internet.
Hell, when AR glasses finally get here, maybe even allow annotations to be attached to any X, Y, Z coordinates. That would create a true metaverse.
That could get interesting when picking people up for dates
