Hello, indie hackers. I'm recently launched my side project https://timefibers.com/
Timefibers is automatic website and app tracking and alternative to RescueTime. Currently it's only for Mac, but version for Windows is already under development.
Feel free to use it and share your feedback!
Nice launching @vlad_ragunovich
Nice color choice and contrast. If I can change one thing, it would be freezing the navbar and make it stay on top.
I'm also designing my landing page, keen to know your advice :)
thanks for your feedback!
Wow that looks super neat! Very clean and polished.
Small question on the product side (as I'm generally privacy concerned):
where and how is the tracking data stored?
I'm lazily running Qbserve in the background and look at it every 1-2 weeks. https://qotoqot.com/qbserve/
This looks more like a direct alternative to Timefibers than RescueTime from what I understand (maybe I didn't get the positioning correctly).
Hi
thanks for feedback!
We store our data in separate encrypted database server
but there is an option in Security Settings to completely remove your data and account from our server
I love the idea of the app and the look of it. I think that adding a page describing how data are stored will help some users to not shy away from the product because of privacy concerns. Have you considered a "local" option where data are not sent to the servers?
thanks for notice! agree, it would be nice to add information about data storage
and yes, we are thinking about local version and already put it to roadmap
