Tip: Bake backlinks into your product to increase domain authority

It's possible to get tons of backlinks and improve your domain rating without doing a lick of outreach. Offer customers something that benefits their websites while linking back to yours.

Typeform's domain rating is ranked #185 on Ahrefs' database, making their domain authority one of the highest in the world. That's no small feat for a relatively small company. According to @JaumeRos of The SEO Channel a big factor in this achievement was baking backlinks into their product. When a user puts one of these forms on their website, it links to Typeform, improving Typeform's authority. And they're not alone. Shopify includes a link in the footers of users' websites, Trustpilot in their rating badges, Product Hunt in their upvote badges, and Freepik in their image attribution data. As you can see, there are many ways to do this, but incentive is key — you must give users something that they actually want to put on their sites.
