Hey all,
I've been building madepublic.io for the last month or so and it's been in beta for about 2 weeks.
So far there are 80 or so users and 45 projects listed which is pretty good to start with!
I'm planning on adding more community like features soon like commenting, following projects, notifications (these should be released within the week actually) etc. But I'm also thinking of adding a newsletter that anyone (not just authorised users) can sign up for to get notified of the projects with the most public interest.
Aside from providing an email field for users to provide on the homepage (and front and center) - what else could I do to promote growth here?
Thanks!
Honestly, I hate that this is my answer... but here we are.
I would do short videos if you're in the discovery stage: TikTok videos explaining cool stories from the Build in Public space.
Then repurpose those same videos on youtube shorts, Instagram reels, and twitter. Make one video and distribute to 5 different networks.
That should help with virality. But make sure each video has a call to action at the end (i.e. follow the newsletter)
Looks good @chrisgreg Did u develop in only in a month?
That's good achievement!
Thank you!
Just trying to get some users in for feedback before I add more features and leave beta!
