Tips for increasing organic traffic on a blog?

SEO is a long game, don't get discouraged though it's just a matter of putting in consistent and quality effort.

I always like to go back to basics: Google has one job, to answer questions and Google's success as a search engine is dependent on how well they answer questions. Good SEO is built on that foundation - answering questions, and answering them better than anyone else.

First, take a moment to think about your buyer personas/target market - who are you selling to? What questions are they asking? What challenges do they have? This will get you started towards keyword research where you can choose topics and find keywords related to them that you should be targeting and creating content for.

Next is actually creating the content - before you even start writing a blog post take a moments to choose the target keyword and run a quick Google search for it. Who is already ranking? What do the top results have in common? Are the articles long or short, do they have videos, infographics, etc? Note these things because if you are going to outrank them for your target keyword you need to create a piece of content that is more authoritative and answers the question better than they do.

And that's about it for a start! If you haven't I'd recommend setting up Google Search Console as it will give you a good idea of how you're doing in search, as for tools to help with the above I've found Answer the Public and Google Keyword Planner + Google Trends helpful as free tools.

Takes time to build organic traffic, it’s a long term game that requires lots of posting. For newer blogs I recommend using long tail keywords... you’re way more likely to be a search result for a long and specific search over a one or two word keyword... you don’t rank for those short keywords over night, when others have been at this game for years or decades.

Also, your main website doesn’t seem to link to your blog, and link building sends the signal that your blog is a trust worthy. Good luck.
