Tips for launching

Hey all!

I’m hoping to launch a SaaS over the next week or so and am a complete newbie to running a SaaS product. I’m completely comfortable on the tech side, just not the marketing, getting customers, beta users, paying customers, partners etc etc. I have a super low social media following too.

The SaaS is a review platform between teams of designers/developers who want to share feedback on a web/app build, allowing you to mark up screenshots of a website with comments. It’ll auto generate different viewport screenshots for you to start reviewing. There is a free 5 day trial, then 2 paid plans (£5.99/member/month and £9.99/member/month).

Any tips at all for launching?

Hey, I recently helped a similar tool hit $6k ARR in 2 months by nailing user acquisition and marketing. Can help you do the same, just drop me a DM on Twitter.

    Hey Morris,
based on the description of your product I'd reach out to designers first.
I remember that we had quite a lot of back and forth between the designer and the developer team during every project to fine tune the UI of the website / app we've been working on.
Based on my experience, most of the developers don't care too much about creating a frontend that completely follows the design created by the designers and that really bugged them. You can highlight this pain point and how your tool can help to resolve this (or at least make the process faster).
So look for UI designers on Twitter, Dribbble, Behance, Linkedin, Facebook groups, subreddits, etc and send them a short case study (eg a 1 minute "long" video) about the benefits of using your tool.
Also, I think https://muz.li/ is really popular (or at least used to be) between designers so you can try to feature your product there to reach a mass of your target audience.
Niche newsletter could be interesting as well, try to find a few that is consumed by your target audience.

Hey Feri, thanks so much for your message - really beneficial!

I'll make sure to have a look at Muz, but I definitely agree to target designers first!
