Tips for syndicating blog posts?
I've heard syndication can be extremely powerful for expanding reach, but I'm not very familiar with it.
Do you syndicate your posts? How do you go about doing so?
A few places I'm aware of for syndicating developer-focused content:
- Medium
- dev.to
- hackernoon
Would it be bad form to syndicate on all of them? Or is that common?
Any advice for getting started with syndicating?
I syndicate selected posts from my tech blog on Medium and a handful other non-competing tech blogs. Two very important tips:
1 - Make sure you post the article on your own blog first and make sure Google has indexed it before you allow it to be posted on any other site.
2 - Include a canonical link in your post's code to tell Google and the other search engines that the article was posted on your blog first.
