I've been doing some user persona digging and my platform seems to cater more towards to users that are right out of school and need help growing THEIR clients.
I was hoping to possibly offer schools my platform for students to use to help them get up and running, but I also don';t want to come off as a salesperson.
How would you approach this scenario? Have you ever approached businesses in this manner? I'm not really selling them, just offering them the tool in exchange for feedback.
great article, thanks! I am a student and often seek help from professional writers and prefer to buy coursework at scholarship essay writing service https://www.bestcustomessay.org/scholarship-essay/. It is here that qualified specialists cope with any subject on time and without plagiarism. I am very pleased with the result
So, I have started to look for some tips or tricks to write my writing assignments quicker in order to have more time to do the things that I really love to do. It wasn't very difficult to find them as I also asked some of my friends and I liked the advice that my friend told me. There are plenty of examples of essays available on the Internet which are a great source of inspiration. Last time, I have checked out this site https://writingbros.com/essay-examples/health/ to spark creativity and to write an outstanding essay in less than an hour.
To be honest, I thought that if I will type faster on the keyboard I will finish quicker my essay, but it wasn't the issue.
Interesting, thanks for the information!
Some schools probably have classes related on business management. Can you insert yourself there? For example:
If you can do interviews with successful hairdressers and post them on your website, they could link to those interviews in some of their classes as 'resources'.
Or you can become THE authority on how to get started promoting yourself as a hairdresser and record some tips yourself. Then these schools can use you as additional resource recommendation.
Your software can become the platform on which these students practice on in their classes. Another idea: In case the class about business management doesn't have a module on creating a hairdresser website, maybe you could pitch this and offer some free licenses.
The pattern here is finding ways to be helpful to those schools and their students and pitching that. Also, it looks to me like these schools have curriculum which are flexible compared to a typical university, for example, so you could def use that fact and pitch small changes (like adding a module to an existing class).
Not a lot of info here, when you say school do you mean high school, University, College? Are the clients the kids clients or the schools?
Sorry, I see that now. This would be for cosmetology school. Post high school. Beauty schools.
Ah ok - well I don't think there is anything wrong coming off as a salesperson if it adds value. I also think that there could be a decent opportunity for a referral programme.
You might want to consider some trade shows where these schools get together as they'll be looking for things to help their business.
My $.02 - Sales often get interpreted in a negative way when the sales person is focused entirely on selling you - telling you all about how wonderful their solution is. One of the first things you learn in sales is to stop talking and to start asking questions. Sales - like product - is about understanding your customer's problems so that you know if your solution meets their needs. I say this because you'll likely only come off as a salesperson if you're pushing your solution.
Personally, I would start off by reaching out directly to the schools saying I am collecting data (survey, whatever) about how schools help students get started when their training is over. Schools who train hairdressers have a vested interested in their students doing well otherwise they won't be perceived as a good educational choice. What kinds of problems do they have? What works / what doesn't? What do their students do, and how does the school support them?
If you from this angle you'll get more information and then can read the room so to speak - if you think based on what they've said that your platform can help you can say - why don't you test this out - it's free for you to use and I am looking for feedback.
This is still sales of course, and you'll get lots of 'thanks but no thanks' - but you've established more credibility by talking about their situation and have a higher chance of finding a good fit. Also once you start asking questions you're now much more in the know about what their objections might be.
wow thanks for taking the time to type this! this is great insight! Your 0.02 is worth $1000 to me! 😀
