After talking with many clients in my game development practice I came up with some tips on what information to prepare so you can get a fast and accurate quote from any game developer.

know what your main objective is, education, entertainment, marketing? what do you want the game to accomplish.

what ideas do you have already? a good game designer will throw them away but knowing them is useful.

How long is this game? will it be five minutes of gameplay? one hour? gameplay time = content = money

where will it be played? consoles are the hardest, the web the easiest. more platforms = more money
