Tips & Tactics for Building Email Funnels that Convert

What are your favourite tactics for building email funnels? I'm getting lots of leads through product demos and lead magnets but I'm falling down at my funnel and need to invest proper time and effort into it.
What works best for you?
PS. If anyone is interested in a Mailchimp alternative I'm currently switching to MailerLite and loving it – the automation UI is much superior to Mailchimp.
Building out segmented email nurture streams or drip campaigns where you can funnel those leads. And then, if possible, developing multiple flows that are tailored to an action that a user does or doesn't take.
I am already using MailerLite. its super impressuve Either.
By convertions do you mean by email signups or it means buying paid plan?
