Tips to grow my ed-tech start-up?

Hello Hackers and Happy Hew Year,

I would like to share with you our short story and the problem that we face:

So we are building for the past couple of months an Ed-tech start up named Troosh.

Troosh is an interactive mentoring application that enhances the learning experience in a variety of communities by promoting interpersonal relationships between Mentors and Mentees, while also facilitating collaborative work (you can find more information about Troosh here https://troosh.app/).
Now the problem that we face has to do with the chicken and egg problem. From the one hand we want to find users in order to have a solid user base to attract mentors and from the other hand we want to find mentors in order to attract users more easily and massively. From the time being we are focusing in fining mentors through IG DMs and through cold emails, so far with the mentors that we have talked we have gathered some useful feedback and most of them are seem to like our idea.
But even though they like the concept of Troosh, we have a very difficult time to 1) get an answer from an email or DM and 2) to actually convert the ones that answer to Beta Testers and early Mentors.
Please feel free to reply if you have any suggestions on how we can promote our app more efficiently.
Thank you for your time and I wish you a great success this year in whatever you are building.

It wasn’t really obvious for me what you are offering by looking at your landing page. Can imagine it’s hard to get conversion with this page right now.

For a service marketplace you are correct to first make sure you have the ‘inventory’ which are the mentors in your case.

You might want to look at creative ways to get mentors who already have their own mentees to join your platform. Can imagine your platform offers the possibility for them to have an easier way to manage those mentees. Not sure though where to find them.

@paulNL Thank you for valuable feedback. Yes actually as you mentioned we are focusing in finding mentors that have already their own mentees. But the problem that we are facing is in the conversion of those mentors to potential users.
