Hey Indie Hackers!
I just launched a project called CaltrixAI — it’s an AI-powered tool that helps you instantly estimate the calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats) in your food by just taking a photo.
How it works:
You upload a photo of your meal
CaltrixAI.com uses computer vision and AI to recognize the food
It tells you the estimated calories, protein, carbs, and fat
Why I built it:
I was tired of manually logging food into calorie tracking apps. It’s slow and annoying. I wanted something fast and frictionless — so I made it! I’m hoping this can help others who care about fitness or healthy eating but don’t want to waste time on data entry.
It’s still early stage, but I’d love:
Feedback on the UX/UI or idea itself
Suggestions for how you would use this
Ideas to improve accuracy or features
You can try it here: [https://caltrixai.com/] (replace this with your actual app link)
Appreciate any feedback! And happy to answer anything about the tech or process behind it.
