To become a successful entrepreneur, you have to go through a lot of ups and downs. But Leanstack could help you mitigate risks and failures:

10 Key Continuous Innovation Mindsets:

Too many people fail at Continuous Innovation because they start in the wrong place - cherry-picking on tactics or prematurely focusing on outcomes.

Continuous Innovation is a fundamentally new way of working and thinking.

Simply copying a bunch of tactics will not work.

Practising continuous innovation requires several fundamental mindset changes that challenge the current status quo product development process you have been taught or currently follow —like selling before you build.

Mindsets are essentially how we perceive the world around us and act.

If you believe that we are indeed living in a new world, then it should naturally follow that a new world requires new mindsets.

You need to

  1. First, internalize the key principles behind the tactics.
  2. Then take the requisite time to hone your skills.
  3. And finally, put it all together using playbooks.

##Start with mindset
In the next sections, I'll introduce 10 key mindset shifts that are foundational to the Continuous Innovation Framework.

These mindsets define the operating system layer of the framework.

I don't expect you to fully internalize them all at once.

Rather, scan through them, and we'll revisit each one in later play books where you'll get to practice them.

##10 Continuous Innovation Mindsets

To help orient you,

  1. The first three mindsets address the model step. In the next playbook, I'll show you 3 modelling tools (Lean Canvas is one of them) you can use to build your business model.
  2. The next four mindsets address the priority step.
They help you identify your riskiest assumptions and focus on key actions that stand to drive the biggest impact.
  3. The last three mindsets are all about the test step. They address the key mindsets for testing your riskiest assumptions and using new insights to refine your business model.
