We're building a tool to identify and analyse competitive landscapes, KPI Crunch.
As part of our development roadmap, I've manually curated and analysed 147 competitive landscapes, in a variety of verticals. You can find the feed of reports on https://kpicrunch.com
If you'd like to get a free report for a specific landscape, don't hesitate to send me a list of up to 25 URLs. I'll run them through the system and send you the report. When we open the tool to the public in a few weeks, you'll be able to create your own reports.
Bear in mind it's only the beginning of this project, we'll add plenty of other quantitative & qualitative data points in the near future.

Yeah I did! Looked at the online games category, since we built an online chess platform, and was curios if the big chess platforms are there but nope. Does that mean they don't get enough traffic compared to the others or that you guys didn't include them in the query?

Very good question.
At this stage, I would say that the coolest feature offered by KPI Crunch is the opportunity to get a perspective of the balance of power both inside a specific landscape and between different landscapes (for instance by comparing the high-level median OPR Rank of two landscapes).
We are landscape-centric whereas most tools tend to be domain-centric.
Some insights:
We were impressed by the median T2KW (Traffic To Keyword ratio = KW yield) of the Food Content Sites landscape: https://kpicrunch.com/report/food-content-sites
We were impressed by the strength of Coinmarketcap on the Crypto scene (vs. Coinbase and Binance) https://kpicrunch.com/report/crypto-platforms
We were also impressed by Grammarly's domination on the AI WritinG Assistants scene: https://kpicrunch.com/report/ai-writing-assistants
etc.

At the moment each domain is analysed on 5 different levels:
We plan to add in the forthcoming months:
All KPI reports will be both persistent (always accessible via a permalink) and modular (possibility to add new domains (in-app & via a Chrome extension) and/or use domains across multiple reports).
At the moment KC reports offer a snapshot in time.
Soon we will start updating data on a weekly basis (and recording data to generate evolution graphs).
