to update or not update? New vs old. (Google store)
Looking to get some insight on submitting new app to Google or updating old. We are experiencing a certificate issue and we are debating if we should just submit new instead of trying to fix issue and go for update. Is there anything to lose in submitting new app? I dont have a lot of downloads so submitting an old will be very easy.
What's the certificate issue? Probably a better idea to post updates with the existing app if it's the exact same app, if you submit an all new app that is identical to the existing one with the same account you may run into weird issues with Google but idk for sure.
Yeah. I dont know what yhe cert issue is. I think i will just renew it. Its probably easier. I have been waiting for these features for a long time.
Really confused what you mean by cert issue on an Android app? Do you mean something with the signing key when building a signed APK?
There is an issue with Google Play Certificates, It is rejecting the ones we have. We trying to recover it. otherwise we may need upload it as a new app. - from developer
