Today I botched the ProductHunt launch. Feedback please?

Not to worry, I will try again!

But I'm hoping I can get some feedback from anyone here who knows what makes a good and bad launch, so I can do better next time.

      I used a GIF for the logo, only 13 upvotes. I didn't even get featured on the front page. Besides the animated logo, what did you do right?
