Right now I’m finishing the company pages and dashboards before launch.
Planned launch: March 29.
If you’re building something in public or care about accountability, I’d love to hear what you think about the idea.
Always interesting to see how other founders approach commitments and follow-through.
Congrats on getting it on the Build Board — even a small start is still progress. The idea of making commitments public is interesting, especially for people building in public. It could create a strong sense of accountability if progress updates are visible over time. Curious how you’re thinking about motivating users to keep updating their progress regularly.
Appreciate this, Kevin that’s exactly the core problem we’re solving.
Making commitments public is just step one. The real value comes from showing progress over time.
On Stated, updates are part of the commitment itself, people can continuously post progress, so it becomes a visible track record, not just a one-time statement.
The idea is simple: once your commitment is public and your progress is visible, the dynamic changes from “I should do this” to “I said I would do this.”
That’s where real accountability kicks in.
Curious what would make you personally keep updating something like this consistently?
This is a really interesting idea. Making commitments public adds a different kind of pressure, but also builds real trust if people follow through.
I like that you’re focusing on company pages and dashboards before launch — that’s where most of the value will be visible. Curious how you’re thinking about measuring “progress” in a consistent way across different types of commitments?
I’ve been working a lot with backend systems and data tracking lately, so this kind of problem is something I enjoy. If you need help testing or refining anything before launch, I’d be happy to take a look.
