Today is day 1 of 365 days building startups

15 days ago, the company I was working for decided to switch directions and as result my contract was terminated. Maybe some would consider this an awful thing, but for me it was a clear sign that I should do now what I’ve wanted to do for a while:

I’m creating 12 startups in 12 months.

I know some people have made this, but the concept amazes me. I know it will be near impossible but I’m going to give it my best go, and build in public along the way, and I’ll log daily on my twitter the progress of each.

Today, I’m launching the first of the 12 startups:

https://www.mindpalace.life

Mind palace is a platform for people to increase their memorization skills by using the Mind Palace, also known as “method of loci”, in a much more visual and intuitive way.

If memorizing things is a problem for you, stay tuned!

Let me know what you think and if you already see something I can improve on.

good luck! looking forward to following you in real time. some questions for context and conversation:
what stack are you using and what type of products are you looking to build?
whats your background and what industry(ies) have you worked in?
and - most importantly - what was the catalyst for you to start this project now??

    cheers!

I'm using Laravel + React, and I've done a base project with a lot of things already (like logins and stripe integration)
I've worked in SE for a couple of years and I've also developed a company as a co-founder (which grew to 60k/year, as well as a lot of projects that never seen day light.

Recently my job was terminated and I'm meant to sell my part of the company mentioned above soon, and so all the starts seem to be aligning to do a project such as this (also, no girlfriend at the moment ahaha)

I'm going to start with a product I've always wanted to do (B2C) and then move to some B2B in the future!

really cool! I've been interested in memory palaces after reading moonwalking with einstein, but there's always seemed to be too high of a barrier of entry to actually start using them

I'm still building, but once I have something more substantial would you like to beta test and give some feedback? I would love that

          1. 1

Yeah definitely! I signed up for your mailing list

As well as the founder of the digital nomad, but he never finished

  8. 2

    1. 2

Sure thing, the ui elements you mean?
      I've used tailwind components - https://tailwindui.com/components
