Today we launch Managable

The 90-Day Trap I spent three months playing "CEO" of a ghost ship. I was the one-man army—native iOS, native Android, a backend that could probably handle a million users I didn’t have. I was obsessed with "first impressions." Every time a new idea popped up, I coded it. I was busy, but I wasn't building a business. I was building a monument to my own ego.

The Night it Burned It ended exactly how you’d expect. A dispute over equity, a partner who got greedy, and 90 days of "perfect" code went into the trash in one night. I had nothing to show for it but a lot of gray hair and a lesson learned the hard way.

The 14-Day Pivot I didn't wait to mourn. The next day, I started https://Managable.net . No complex native apps. No "perfect" UI. Just a simple, freelance-first CRM to solve the fragmented mess I was living in every day.

The New Rules:

  • Timebox everything: If the feature takes more than 48 hours, it’s not for the MVP.

  • Market over Code: I used Supabase and Render to do the heavy lifting so I could focus on the user flow.

  • The "Ugly" Truth: I shipped it while it still felt a little "unfinished." Because a live product with three users is worth more than a perfect product with zero.

The Result Managable is live. It’s simple, it’s free, and it’s actually solving the problem of fragmented work. I stopped trying to build the "everything app" and started building the "useful app."

The takeaway for the indie community: Stop polishing. Start shipping. If you aren't embarrassed by your first version, you launched too late.
