Todo lists are broken. Can we fix them?

Hello fellow Indie Hackers!

While working with others in small teams, we noticed that collaborative task management is still broken. Shared lists of tasks quickly become chaotic: There are too many tasks, everyone’s tasks are mixed up, and it’s difficult to see which tasks you can act on right now — It is a mess and makes collaboration suffer.

To solve these issues, we have come up with the idea of a graph-based task manager for small teams — We call it Masterplan:

It naturally supports dependencies between tasks, gives you an overview of the entire project, and lets you focus on the tasks you can act on right now. Also, collaboration is built right in so you can use it with your entire team.

It is designed to bring clarity into projects and boost collaboration as well as productivity.

We are a small, independent team of students and would greatly appreciate your support! We are convinced that task management should be fun!

We’re not yet ready for launch but we wanted to share our work anyway! We created a landing page that nicely explains everything with pictures. Also, If you are interested, feel free to join our waitlist to be among the first to receive access:

Oh my God, this is beautiful! It looks like a brainchild between Miro and Asana. Your main visual in the hero sells the whole thing, well done!

I know you're still in the waitlist phase, but it would be great if you could create a lead magnet to get signups or embed a social icon for your Twitter. People are hesitant to give out their email addresses, but I'm sure they'd love to follow you on social media for when you launch. If you created a lead magnet - for example, a summary of 10 best practices for team collaboration with subject matter experts - I'm sure you'd get more signups.

What a fantastic product! Please let me know if you need help with copy or content, I'd love to work with you on this.

Thanks so much and great ideas! :)
We're definitely planning to do something with posts when we're a bit closer to the release. But we first need to focus our energy on building the first version of app.
Also, thanks for the suggestion to add a Twitter button on the website, it's a good idea!

Absolutely - I look forward to Masterplan launching! :D

This looks awesome! Will you support integrations with other platforms?

      I'm glad you like it!
It really depends on whether it is a common wish. Which other platforms would you like to use this with?

        Clickup/Trello would be great.

Good to know! As a heavy Notion user myself, this would definitely be high on the list 👍
