Tool for creating demo videos of apps (iOS/Android)?

What’s your favorite tool for creating demo videos of apps?

I have built a iOS and Android app and testing with a small group of users has gone well. I’m now starting the marketing and launching work.

Apple documentation says take screen-record (using iOS) and edit in iMovie etc. This process is very basic and doesn’t even capture taps and finger gestures, and leaves the whole editing process to be done by the user.

There are must be built in tools that automate all this already? What’s your favorite?
