Tool for email automation

Hi guys!
Which tools are you using for email messages automation?
We've been combining Intercom and SendGrid, but i can't seem to get exactly what i need in terms of automation according to different actions the user has performed in the system. Please let me know some tools you use and why you like them. Thanks!

@maria_micro - here's a list of email service & email automation software I've been collecting.

    Sendy: https://sendy.co/

    Mailerlite: https://www.mailerlite.com/pricing

    MailChimp: https://mailchimp.com/pricing/growing-business/

    https://rejoiner.com/

    Email Octopus + Amazon SES

    https://flodesk.com/c/3QN5XP (affiliate link from someone)

    Mad Mimi: https://madmimi.com/service_agreements/choose_plan

    https://fdsend.com/

    https://crisp.chat

    https://sendfox.com/

    http://nomadmail.io/

    https://moosend.com/

    https://www.mailjet.com/

We use Mailchimp for Drip campaigns, and Mandrill (MailChimp's transactional email service) for transactional emails like order related & follow-up review request emails.

    Using Rejoiner for cart abandonment.

Have used Sendfox too for simple email campaigns, but it's possible it could do more since it has several different tools/integrations, and automations.

    Hope the info helps!

Thanks Mike, i'll take a look at some of these right away!

Hey @maria_micro could you tell me more about your setup? We use Intercom and Mailgun (equivalent to Sendgrid). The way things work right now is that we add tags/properties to the Intercom users to figure out when to trigger the right messages.

Maybe some of the things we've done could help? Would love to know more about your scenarios.

Hi Sten, we've been doing the same thing now, but i'd like to go a step further and automated the segmentation of users according to their actions performed in the system.

Hey Marija, what's the automation you need? We built palabra.io because we had a similar problem last year :) if you want to try it let me know

Thanks Pau, i'll take a look, but i believe your solution is more e-commerce oriented.

Did you get that impression from our landing page? We really need to update it 🤦‍♀️ We are actually focusing our development for SaaS automations to improve retention and activation. With our Segment integration you'd be able to send triggered emails from any user action, or you could trigger sequences directly from webhook requests

You convinced me and i tried it :) But oh no.. you're asking for a card in the trial period.. no, no..

Zdravo Marija! If you're looking for B2B email automation, let me know!

Thanks Viktor, looking for a B2C email automation actually..

I'm a fan of SendGrid but they're only good for transactional emails.

If you need more customization and visualized design panel. I'd suggest EmailOctopus / MailerLite / Sendinblue

For VenturesList, I used EmailOctupus <> Zapier <> Gumroad to create a sleek automated workflow :)

Hi Felix, do you know if you can track custom user events with EmailOctopus and then create segments of users according to the events?

I'm a maker undersend.com. With Undersend, you can create and send personalized marketing campaigns to your users based on their activities.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

We have used DronaHQ to build our own customized app for sending out emails and also newsletters. They have a drag-and-drop UI builder, frontend & backend logic builder, easy-to-use API connectors, automations, and more, which make it easier.

    Check it out > https://www.dronahq.com/send-email-from-app/

You will be shocked how poor your inboxing is. Tell me how you know exactly?

What are the automations you're looking to do, based on what kinds of actions for the user?

    1. 1

      Custom system actions.

I just switched to Mailerlite last week - the automation builder is the best I've come across.

@maria_micro What features are you looking for?

    1. 1

Thanks for the recommendation, but this is not what i'm looking for.

Hey Marija, I think activecampaign might be useful for you. I used it briefly but it does have a lot of automation features.

You can get it for free for a year by applying to segment's startup program at segment.com and it'll also unlock a lot of other growth/marketing oriented tools for free or at discounted prices.

I applied for it with my project (https://bespokeresume.tech) and the application gets approved within 1-2 days.

    Hope this helps:)

Thanks @manmeet i will take a look at it now!
