Hi all,
Here's an idea for you. Starts with an assertion: job descriptions are a waste of time. Most are full of frilly, wooly, empty phrases that are banal and obvious. When I read a JD I'm scanning it for a few key skills and responsibilities, and I'll use salary to get a sense of whether it matches the stated skills and responsibilities. (I should say I'm mostly familar with tech CVs)
So how about a tool for recruiters / course admissions tutors where you could post your job description, and get free critique / feedback so you can improve your advert and get better applicants.
I envisage that this could be done with some degree of automation to pull out key skills and phrases and present that back to the advertiser to essentially reflect the key things the advert boils down too.
Later I'd see this as part of a wider marketplace / community where candidates could be part of this critiquing process.
Here's my half hour landing page https://mailchi.mp/afa408729082/improve-job-description. I'll critique any signups manually myself - but wonder whether anyone thinks there's anything in this idea or knows someone who might be interested.
Thanks in advance
Hello. I've been in the Human Resources field for nearly 20 years and looking to create something similar. My goal is a job description software that incorporates as an integrated app for Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) with a few other features. Looking for someone though with the software development experience to make it a reality.
