As part of my engagement on Twitter and LinkedIn, I've been using a lot of short videos of my app in action.
Currently, I'm using Kap on Mac, but it has some limitations like it doesn't hide the cursor as expected and it doesn't have controls like zooming in on clicks/actions.
I'm hoping folks can suggest some alternatives that can help create really clean screen recordings.
I use screencastify, which has a google chrome extensions and is pretty good!
I use berrycast and its pretty good!
Thanks for the tip!
Check out ScreenFlow by Telestream. It's a powerful screen recording tool that offers cursor hiding, zooming in on clicks, and other advanced editing features. It should help you create cleaner screen recordings for your app demos. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
Thanks for the recommendation. I currently use OBS and DaVinci Resolve for this type of editing. I think I'm still searching for something simple like Kap but has just a few more advanced features.
We use Loom at work and we like it
I think Loom is pretty good (and shout out to https://vento.so by one of my friends) but not "dynamic" for very focused activity sequences where you might want the video to zoom in to a specific action. Is that just post editing? Or are there tools that can do this OOB?
I did something similar using https://www.veed.io, if you've got a screen recording ready to edit there's some great tools on there for adding effects
