What are some tools you use when looking for a domain that is available for your next idea?

    Great list. I usually tinker with the namecheap search, but will check the above next time.

    I saw this on hackernews this morning, it's a bit technical, but could help from the registrar hiking up the price on a domain name before you buy it.

      Haha yes, that post influenced me to write this post 😁. Is the price hiking really a thing? What registrars actually do this?

        That's what I'm curious about as well. I've seen anecdotal blogs in the past where someone is searching for a domain and within seconds it's bought by a domain squatter, but haven't seen many as of late.

          I’ve heard the same stories. Recently I’ve used Cloudflare and Google to register domains and I haven’t seen this. I could see companies like Godaddy doing this 😂
