Interesting post! I am currently in the awkward phase of finding and convincing people to use our MVP, which is tricky. Our thing is to find the beta testers with minimal investment and to that effect, we resorted to scraping leads by ourselves (The practical thing that we can use our own MVP to do that). I would add this to your target audience section :) Cheers !
hey you do know you can use reddit to find users right? they've got thousands of communities with millions of members in them a piece.
Yeah I know it's a great source of potential leads. What we currently need are specific user profiles in a few very targeted communities, I have looked for such users on both Reddit and Linkedin.
The users I select are split by either issue or question (the ones from Reddit) or domain and groups of interest (on Linkedin). I usually use my product to scrape their posts and profiles and then add them to Airtable. Then I use something like Textblaze to customize the way I reach out to them.
I have to admit, this method is working pretty well since we got very good feedback from early adopters. I don't think that this would work at a larger scale but it would still be valuable for B2B lead gen at later phases.
