Toss a digital coin with FlipACoinFree.com โ€” built for fun & fair decisions

Hey Indie Hackers ๐Ÿ‘‹

I recently launched a tiny fun project: https://flipacoinfree.com

The idea is super simple โ€” a clean, fast, ad-light tool where anyone can flip a virtual coin for making small decisions, games, or just for fun.

๐Ÿช™ Why I built it

I noticed most โ€œcoin flipโ€ sites are full of ads or slow scripts. I wanted something instant, distraction-free, and mobile-friendly.

โšก What makes it different

100% free, no sign-up.

Works perfectly on mobile.

Instant flip animation with sound.

Option to share or embed on your site.

๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ How I built it

Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Hosted on / Vercel

Currently planning to add a few more small tools like dice roller, yes/no picker, and random number generator.

๐ŸŽฏ Goal

Iโ€™m not chasing revenue right now โ€” just testing how small, useful, and fast web tools can attract organic traffic and backlinks naturally.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Would love your feedback

What feature would make you use it more often?

Should I add fun gamified options (e.g., streaks or challenge mode)?

How can I improve the UI/UX?

Any thoughts, ideas, or critiques are welcome. ๐Ÿ™

Thanks for checking it out!

    Nice launch! ๐ŸŽ‰
Love the simplicity โ€” fast, ad-free tools like this always stand out.
I like your idea of building small, useful sites to test organic reach โ€” thatโ€™s a smart long-term play.
A fun thought: what if users could save their โ€œdecision historyโ€ or embed their coin flips on blogs? That might help with backlinks too!

      Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I really appreciate your kind words and thoughtful suggestion.

Saving decision history and adding an embed option sound like amazing ideas โ€” Iโ€™ll definitely explore them in the next update.

Thanks again for the encouragement and support! ๐Ÿ™โœจ

Guys he isn't lying. It does support coin flipping.

In all seriousness, I think for this to stick, you need to find a way to make the flip more satisfying. I think you could do something with the animation to make it look smoother. I am not sure how or what, and you might need some 3d rendering, but I think it should look satisfying somehow
