Trademarks...
Hi everyone, long time reader first time posting, sorry. So I’ve been working on my project for 3 years on and off, and almost ready to get first version running. I bought a domain squid.live a while back and using the name squid etc. Got some design work done etc. Someone asked me if the name was trademarked and can I use it... I said yes of course... then thought oh shit I don’t know. It will only be a trading name of my company. Thoughts and feedback welcome!

There is one which might be too close to what you're doing. Looks like you should change your name.

Is that really how this works? you need to change your trademark if the work mark matches exactly? How about if the existing trademark is in a different country (I see one for australia for mine).
