I'm #looking-for-cofounder and was wondering if anyone has tried going through traditional hiring routes.
Posting to job boards and interviewing them like a normal candidate.
Figure it can't hurt!
I'm a first-timer here, but from what I've encountered if you interview your co-founder on a traditional hiring route, you should be prepared to be treated as an employer and have financial backup for at least a year or two to pay the interviewee. And then the question becomes, where is the co-founding, if you are paying for hired labour and expertise?
Other than that, the get-to-know-you phase is always present, and an interview is a way to have that. But on a hiring boards you'll probably mostly find people who want to get hired, not to get admitted into co-founders.
What type of co-founder are you looking for? Technical? Product?
Product / Growth... I'm technical so need someone with growth experience.
