Traffic finally hitting blog, now how to monetize?
Hi All,
I'm hoping some of you with experience in the world of blogs may be able to advise how to better monetize a site my wife has been steadily building up over the years.
I'm asking now, specifically, because it seems finally the dribble of traffic is actually turning into something significant.
I.e. this post https://www.ohlaliving.com/retro-sprinkle-tray-bake is close to hitting the 30k unique visitors marks this month. We already have google adsense and some amazon affiliate links on there but so far it looks like we are going to make a total of $3 from both combined.. so with 30k visitors , and a bounce rate of 50% I would expect we can make more from the page than just a couple of dollars....

The best way to monetize a blog is by creating your own product: a course, a membership, etc. The funnel is pretty simple: you get traffic, build an email list and sell your product to your subscribers.

Hard question, there isn't a right or wrong answer. You need to come up with something that your target audience will find interesting enough to read it every week.

How about opening an webshop and dropship the product? This way you have not a lot of extra costs and take a bigger percentage of the product sold.
If you identify a product that is sold a lot you could sell it yourself instead of dropshipping to make even more profit.
Sell something... Create a product or productized service or package which your audience be interested in.
Make sure all these things are being produced by someone else. You don't invest time in production.
